General rules under The Cemeteries Act, 1999 and/or Regulations for Commercial and Non Commercial cemeteries.

The Cemeteries Act, 1999 requires licensing of commercial cemeteries; trusting of consumer funds, and provides prepaid contract cancellation rights for buyers.

A commercial cemetery means a cemetery operated by an individual, corporation or partnership for the purpose of making a profit for the owner (section 2).
